Since 2016, MoCan Containers has been locally owned and operated by Tim and Kaitlin McKenzie. Though Tim originally hails from Cody, Wyoming, he has proudly called Billings his home for the last 21 years. Kaitlin moved to Billings from Rochester, Washington, and has happily lived in Montana for the last 10 years. The two share a love of travel, road trips and diesel trucks. Who knew that these hobbies could become a successful, independent business?

It started in 2016, while on their way to a wedding in Western Washington. Tim and Kaitlin were asked to haul some shipping containers and drop them off along the way as a favor for a friend. The rest, as they say, is history. For the last four years, they have been living the dream, enjoying all the outdoors that can be found in Big Sky country, and learning about the numerous ways a shipping container can be used in today’s world. This wonderful venture has introduced them to some amazing and creative people as well as expanded their views on alternative resources.
